Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) claimed victory in the Superpole Race of the World Superbike Championship at Estoril, securing his second win of the weekend and taking a decisive step toward the 2025 title. The Turkish rider finished ahead of Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) and moved closer to the world championship: in Race 2, he will be crowned champion if he scores at least 18 points more than Bulega.
The 10-lap race featured a fierce battle between Razgatlioglu and Bulega. The Italian rider led at the start, but Razgatlioglu overtook him on lap two, swapping the lead briefly before pulling away. Despite Bulega’s attempts to respond, the championship leader maintained his advantage to the checkered flag.
Álvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) also reached the podium, fending off Andrea Locatelli (Pata Maxus Yamaha) and securing a front-row start for Race 2. Locatelli and Andrea Iannone (Team Pata GoEleven) will start from the second row, while the third row will include Xavi Vierge (Honda HRC), Axel Bassani (Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team), and Michael van der Mark (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team).
