A great start for Marco Bezzecchi, who holds off the Marquez brothers and sets the pace from the first corners. Zarco and Mir are immediately out of the race due to separate crashes, while further back, Bagnaia struggles and fights for eighth place against Di Giannantonio and Aldeguer.

Marc Marquez glues himself to Bezzecchi in a fierce battle for the lead, while Alex Marquez begins closing the gap. Meanwhile, Ogura crashes out. Acosta puts on a show: first overtaking Morbidelli, then challenging Quartararo, who initially defends well. On lap six, the Spaniard finally makes the move stick, but his race ends abruptly on lap eight due to a broken chain on his KTM. Another big crash on lap ten: Bagnaia slides out at the “Tramonto” corner, followed shortly after by Rins and Vinales, both forced to retire.

Up front, Bezzecchi makes a mistake on lap twelve, and Marc Marquez pounces, taking the lead and beginning his solo breakaway. Bastianini also crashes out after a solid race despite starting from the back of the grid. Behind them, Morbidelli battles Quartararo for fourth, but has to give way on lap fifteen. Marc Marquez goes wide and exceeds track limits on lap sixteen, losing three tenths and allowing Bezzecchi to close in again. Just behind, Alex Marquez looms, ready to pounce on the leading pair. In the final laps, Quartararo loses ground and is overtaken by Aldeguer and Marini.

Bezzecchi also receives a track limits warning with seven laps to go. Marc Marquez pushes hard through the final sector, but Bezzecchi responds with a near-record lap of 1:31.358. The Cervera-born star answers back immediately with an incredible 1:31.290, pulling away for good. A tense, action-packed, and thrilling race, with Marc Marquez back in command in MotoGP, Bezzecchi confirming his excellent form after Saturday’s Sprint win, and Alex Marquez rounding off a podium to remember.

RispondiInoltraAggiungi reazione

Uncertain weather but a dry track at the Misano circuit for a MotoGP Grand Prix full of twists and turns right from the warm-up lap, when Jorge Martin is forced to start from the pit lane after his Aprilia suddenly stalls at the Curvone.
