Robin R\u00e4ikk\u00f6nen, son of former Formula 1 world champion Kimi R\u00e4ikk\u00f6nen, has joined the Red Bull driver development programme<\/strong>, marking the beginning of what could become a long-term pathway towards Formula 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The young Finn is still at an early stage of his motorsport career, meaning there is a considerable amount of work ahead before a potential move into the senior categories. However, joining Red Bull represents a significant opportunity and gives R\u00e4ikk\u00f6nen access to one of the most successful driver development programmes in modern motorsport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Robin R\u00e4ikk\u00f6nen will inevitably attract attention because of his famous surname.<\/p>\n\n\n\n His father, Kimi R\u00e4ikk\u00f6nen, enjoyed a career spanning more than two decades in Formula 1 and became world champion with Ferrari in 2007.
