The remarkable achievement also saw the Ducati star reach the milestone of 40 career victories in the championship.

The Italian rider began the day in dominant fashion by claiming victory in the Superpole Race. Starting from the front, Bulega immediately asserted control and never looked seriously threatened, maintaining a relentless pace to take his 40th WorldSBK win and further strengthen his position at the top of the standings.

A few hours later, he returned to the track to complete an unforgettable weekend in Race 2.

Unlike the Superpole Race, the final feature race of the weekend did not begin entirely according to plan for the championship leader. Teammate Iker Lecuona made a brilliant start and briefly seized the lead into the opening corners. However, Bulega wasted no time in responding, reclaiming first place before the end of the opening lap and immediately establishing the pace at the front.

Once in clean air, the Ducati rider gradually pulled away from the chasing pack. Lap after lap, he extended his advantage, demonstrating the speed and consistency that have made him the benchmark of the 2026 campaign. By the chequered flag, Bulega had secured his 21st victory of the season and completed a record-breaking seventh hat-trick, becoming the first rider in WorldSBK history to achieve such a feat in a single year.

Lecuona crossed the line in second place after another strong performance. While the Spaniard remained Bulega’s closest challenger throughout the race, he was unable to mount a serious attack once the championship leader moved to the front. Nevertheless, the result added another podium finish to an impressive season for the Honda rider.

The battle for third provided much of the late-race drama. Axel Bassani appeared on course for a podium finish in front of his home crowd, but a crash in the closing stages ended his hopes. The incident promoted Yari Montella into third place, allowing the Italian to celebrate another memorable podium finish.

Alex Lowes finished fourth, while Tarran Mackenzie secured fifth with one of the strongest performances of his WorldSBK career. Alberto Surra continued his impressive run of form with another points-scoring result, while Andrea Locatelli, Remy Gardner and Michael van der Mark completed the top positions after a fiercely contested race.

The Misano round further highlighted Bulega’s extraordinary dominance in 2026. With 40 career victories, 21 wins this season and seven hat-tricks already to his name, the Ducati rider continues to rewrite the record books. As the championship heads next to Donington Park, the message from Misano is clear: Nicolò Bulega remains the rider everyone else is trying to beat.

Nicolò Bulega delivered another masterclass at Misano, completing a perfect Sunday by winning both the Superpole Race and Race 2 to secure his seventh hat-trick of the 2026 WorldSBK season.
