The Sprint Race was held in scorching conditions, with extreme temperatures and different tire strategies playing a crucial role from the very beginning. Starting from pole position, Ai Ogura and the Aprilia riders opted for the medium rear tire, while Francesco Bagnaia and Marc Márquez chose the soft compound. Marco Bezzecchi arrived at the race leading the championship by 20 points.
When the lights went out, Bagnaia made an excellent start and held onto the lead ahead of Ogura and Moreira. Fabio Di Giannantonio endured a more difficult opening lap, losing two positions, while Bezzecchi settled into fifth place. Early drama followed as Moreira crashed after an incident involving Maverick Viñales, allowing Márquez to move up into third.
Bagnaia and Ogura immediately attempted to break away from the pack, with the Japanese rider showing impressive pace. Márquez steadily closed the gap to the leading duo, while behind them Bezzecchi was forced to defend from Pedro Acosta’s attacks. The race continued to deliver twists as Acosta crashed out, followed later by Luca Marini.
In the closing stages, Bagnaia began to feel the pressure from his pursuers. Ogura closed right onto the rear wheel of the Ducati rider, while Márquez remained firmly in contention for the top positions. With two laps remaining, the championship battle took a significant turn when Bezzecchi crashed out of the race.
The final laps were intensely contested, with the top three separated by only a few tenths and lapping at virtually identical pace. Bagnaia, however, managed to respond under pressure, defending brilliantly against the late attacks and maintaining the lead all the way to the checkered flag to secure a valuable Sprint victory ahead of an outstanding Ogura.
